The World of Masters Swimming was the first masters swimming website on the net. It was not designed to be affiliated with any particular club since another website was put together for my club at the time (AVOHK or Athletic Veterans of Hong Kong) - they can be seen in the related links section.

This site went online in April 1995 shortly after returning to Hong Kong from my first Masters Swimming meet in Wanganui, New Zealand. I called the site 'The World of Masters Swimming' as there wasn't any information on the net about Masters swimming at that time. The original URL for this site was www.super.net/~kff/wms.html, becoming masterswim.net in 1999 but with sporadic hosting problems, it was transferred to masterswim2.net in Jan 2002 and finally to masterswim.org in Jan 2004. The site name and some of the original content have been preserved since 1995.
