I came up with this Masters Salute since I felt masters swimmers needed a fun and novel method to signal recognition to each other of their common bond.

Whether you have just arrived at the pool or you see team members around town, a perfunctory wave between yourselves (or no greeting at all?!?) gives no hint to your interest in swimming. Masters swimmers should be able to signal to each other in such a way as to provide recognition of their unique interest in Masters Swimming and the enjoyment of life through fitness and the team spirit.
