Is there a Webmaster?

This is the first site dedicated to Masters Swimming on the net. It was not designed to be affiliated with a Masters Swimming Club (I later developed another website for my club - see the links section elsewhere on this site).

This site started out in April 1995, a few months after I had been introduced to my first Masters Swimming meet in Wanganui, New Zealand by the venerable Tom Logan, the editor of MasterScrawl (NZ Masters newsletter) at that time. I wanted to pass on that extraordinary experience and hence called the site 'The World of Masters Swimming' since I thought, at that time, there wouldn't be many sites providing information on Masters swimming. During that year, David Tree was also developing his Canadian Masters (MSC) website.

The orginal URL was www.super.net/~kff/wms.html but after a major facelift, it was transferred to www.masterswim.net in January 1999. As a result of sporadic configuration difficulties including the inability to answer emails (mainly due to using cheap hosting facilities), I transferred the site to www.masterswim2.net in Jan 2002 but finally settled on www.masterswim.org in Jan 2004. The site name and some of the original content have been preserved for over 12 years (a lifetime in web years).

You can report a missing link (although nobody really bothers these days) but if you would like to say Hi, a link is provided below.
